Two Graduate from Bankers School

(LORIS, SC) – Last month, The South Carolina Bankers School Class of 2007 included two Horry County State Bank Assistant Vice Presidents, Richard Carroll and Bobby Doty.

Sponsored by the South Carolina Bankers Association, the School includes faculty from major universities as well as banking and business executives from throughout the Southeast. Established in 1961, it is recognized as one of the best banking schools in the Southeast, attracting students from outside the state of South Carolina. Since that time, 2,368 students have graduated from the school. SCBS is regarded as one of the best values available anywhere for investment of education dollars. Throughout a three-year progressive course of study, students are exposed to general educational experiences in many phases of banking and are prepared for career advancement.  

Richard Carroll, Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager of Horry County State Bank’s Conway Branch, is also a graduate of Coastal Carolina University and Winthrop University, where he received his MBA. Last July, Carroll graduated from Leadership Conway. He is a member of Langston Baptist Church, the Kiwanis Club of Conway and is a board member of the Small Business Development Center and Friendship Medical Center of Conway.

Bobby Doty, Assistant Vice President/Lender in Horry County State Bank’s Myrtle Beach office, is a graduate of Erskine College. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Myrtle Beach, the Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach, the Myrtle Beach High School All-Sports Booster Club and is a board member of the Grand Strand Cycling Association.
