Electronic Communications Consent

To apply online for an account with Horry County State Bank, you must consent to receiving communications from us electronically in connection with opening the account(s). Electronic communications include our customer agreements for the account and amendments, thereto, documentation of your tax id number and all legal, regulatory and other communications and disclosures related to opening the accounts ("Electronic Communications"). Communications not related to online account opening, such as paper statements you receive for your checking and savings accounts and any communications subsequent to our receipt of both your signature card and funding for your new account, are not included in the definition of "Electronic Communications." If you do not consent to the use of Electronic Communications, online account opening is not available to you.

You may withdraw your consent to the receipt of Electronic Communications by contacting your local branch. If you do so, your request to apply for an account online will be terminated. If your email address changes after submitting your application online, promptly notify us to ensure that the account opening process can be completed with your new email address.

In order to apply for an account online and receive and retain Electronic Communications you must have the following:

1. A valid email address
2. Internet Access
3. A computer that meets the following minimum hardware and software requirements:
   1. A browser that supports 128-bit strong encryption such as Netscape Communicator or Microsoft Internet Explorer such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher that will optimize your experience with the Service
   2. A modem (56kbps or higher recommended)
   3. An operating system meeting the below minimum requirements:

486 or higher processor
16 MB (32 MB recommended) random access memory (RAM)
20 MB of free hard drive space System

MacIntosh
7.5.5 or higher
32 MB of available access memory (RAM)
